SkillVow is operated by U R Star Technologies ("the Company"). By accessing or using SkillVow ("the Platform"), operated by U R Star Technologies, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users including visitors, registered users, and paid subscribers.
SkillVow is a skill swap platform that connects users who wish to exchange skills, collaborate on projects, teach each other, or swap freelance work. The Platform offers three modes: CoWork (collaborative projects), Learn (skill teaching exchanges), and Freelance Swap (exchanging client project work).
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. SkillVow reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
A "vow" on SkillVow represents a commitment between two users to exchange skills or work. Users are expected to honor their vows in good faith. SkillVow facilitates connections but does not guarantee the quality, timeliness, or completion of any skill swap. Disputes between users should be resolved between the parties involved. SkillVow may assist in mediation but is not obligated to do so.
SkillVow offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Payments in India are processed through Razorpay. International payments are processed through Paddle (our Merchant of Record), which handles currency conversion, tax collection, and compliance. Prices vary by region based on purchasing power parity.
The free tier is available indefinitely and does not require a payment method. Pro subscriptions begin immediately upon payment.
Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your profile settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain full Pro access until then. No further charges will be made after cancellation. There are no cancellation fees.
Refund Policy: If you are unsatisfied with your Pro subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase. This 14-day refund window applies only to the first payment. Subsequent recurring charges are non-refundable — cancel before your next billing date to avoid future charges. Refunds for international payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Refunds for payments in India are processed by Razorpay. To request a refund, email contact@urstartech.com.
Free users receive a limited number of vow credits (post vows and match vows). Match vows reset monthly. Earned vows are awarded for completing swaps and do not expire. Pro users have unlimited vow credits. Vow credits have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash.
You agree not to: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; (b) harass, abuse, or threaten other users; (c) misrepresent your skills, identity, or experience; (d) spam, scrape, or use automated tools to access the Platform; (e) post content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes on intellectual property rights; (f) attempt to manipulate the matching, rating, or badge systems.
Work created during skill swaps belongs to the creators as agreed between the parties. SkillVow does not claim ownership of any work produced through the Platform. The SkillVow brand, logo, and platform code are the property of SkillVow and may not be used without permission.
SkillVow is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. This includes but is not limited to: failed swaps, quality of work exchanged, data loss, or service interruptions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to SkillVow in the 12 months preceding the claim.
SkillVow may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time. Active subscriptions will be cancelled upon account deletion.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, India.
For international payments, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle") acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. Paddle handles payment processing, currency conversion, tax collection, and compliance. When you purchase a Pro subscription through Paddle, your purchase is subject to Paddle's Terms of Service and Buyer Terms.
